three mudras for self-care

In a world filled with too much judgement and criticism it can be very hard to find a place of self-acceptance. Mediation is a very powerful tool for finding inner-peace.  Next time you meditate try adding one of these beautiful mudras  or try simply sitting with them as you tune into their effect on your breath and energy.

They can be incredibly powerful tools in Yoga Therapy for promoting self-care, supporting a sankalpa, providing a focal point for meditation and opening energy blockages. When they are practiced regularly you can see the seeds of emotional healing grow.

Vajna mudra is energizing and enlivens the Third Chakra - Manipura. While holding this mudra visualize a center of energy at the solar plexus. Repeat a mantra or sankalpa that will support your own self-empowerment.
